Personal Statement

Mr. Roger Sloan has useful exposure in triage, ATLS and all medical emergencies. He has experience in the basic assessment of common fractures and dislocations, acute trauma, and joint arthroplasty in many dysplastic and rheumatoid joints. He has a good exposure to the management of severe head injury and a broad range of specialized spinal surgery. He also has an excellent training in upper limb surgery and all forms of upper limb arhtroplasty. Mr. Sloan spent 1 year teaching anatomy at Queen’s University Belfast to medical, biomedical science and Dental students and has been a regular member of the panel of examiners for the rotating medical students from Warwick at the OSCE session at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire. He is also currently an educational supervisor for the Foundation Year junior doctors in the orthopaedic department at South Warwickshire.
