Personal Statement

Dr. Antoine Salloum graduated from St Joseph University Medical School
(Beirut, Lebanon) in 1973. He trained in Sherbrooke and Montreal (Quebec, Canada) and became Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada in 1981. He was on staff at the St. Georges Hospital and the Sacre Coeur Hospital (Beirut, Lebanon) from 1981 to 1984. From 1984 to 2001, he was at the South East Health Care Corporation in New Brunswick, where he fulfilled the duties of Head of the Neurosciences program and chief of staff and he was member of the board of examiners of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada. He moved to Abu Dhabi to establish the neurosurgery department at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City where he was Head of Department, Chair of Surgery and Director of the Neurosciences Program. He joined Al Noor Hospital where he was Head of Department and Chief of Surgery. He recently joined Exeter Medical Center. Spine surgery is his area of concentration.
